I started in the Steel Fabrication Industry just after graduating High School in September, 1984. I worked for several fabricating firms and began in the print room then onto detailing and eventually Sales & Estimating. My wife & I started Steel Services, Inc. in May of 1994 and it has evolved into a full service fabricating company. We manufacture anything from one piece of Angle to Thousand Ton jobs. We specialized in Design & Build working closely with the Contractor & Owner to provide a quality timely & cost effective project.

I started as a student at ITT Tech and graduated with a 2 year Associate Degree in Structural Engineering. I went to work for a construction company as a Draftsman before coming employed by a Steel Fabricator as a Detailer / Estimator. I then progressed at the same company and eventually became General Manager after 5 years. I moved onto Steel Services, Inc. as an Estimator / Salesperson before eventually escalating to Vice President and purchasing stock in the company after 13 years. Practical experience includes but not limited to basic Structural Design / Development of Retail, Distribution, Institutional, and Industrial Steel Construction as well as procurement and installation of finish product.

I started a student at IUPUI & graduated with Associate’s Degree in Architetural Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Technology. During & after college I went to work for small engineering firm for 5 years as an AutoCAD Technician assisting in ship drawing review and basic engineering task. I moved to Steel Services, Inc. as the Detailing Manager in September of 2009. My responsibilities include coordinating detailers & shop drawings; sequencing submittals, working with the Project Managers on scope; and fielding all shop drawing related issues.

I started in this bussiness in 1973 and worked for the first 7 years becoming A Journey Draftsman.
From 1980 through 2009 I have held many positions: Estimating 3 years, Project Manager for 10 years, Vice President of Sales for 4 years, Vice President for 12 years.
Practical experience includes detailing of Structural Steel, Joist, Metal Deck, Misc. Steel, I have assisted in numerous designs of Retail, Distribution, Meduim Rise Buildings, & Industrial Buildings. I have been with Steel Services, Inc. for about 4 years & to date I still Estimate, Sale, Detail, Project Manage & Assist in Design. My professional associations include:

I went to IVY Tech and earned a Technical Certificate in Welding and Blue Print reading. I started out as Laborer for a Fabricator and have been doing fabrication for about 15 years. Then I moved up within that company and became foreman there for 14 years. I have been with the Steel Services, Inc. for about 1 year being the Shop Manager and am involved in every aspect of the shop and how it operates.
